Physician Rehabilitation Overview

Pacific Assistance Group believes that one size does not fit all. This is why we utilize detailed criteria to establish client risk and to determine exactly what level of monitoring is needed to help and support the participant in recovery from substance use problems, other compulsive/addictive behaviors, or mental health issues. Below is an example of what we look for in assessing monitoring needs:
High Risk - Intensive Monitoring
New to monitoring
            Not yet in recovery
Not receiving any mental health-related help
No record of abstinence or stability
Isolated, poor or no support systems in place
            External motivation for cooperation
Moderate Risk
   6 - 12 months full cooperation
            Completed treatment or secure attachment
to mental health provider
6 -12 months documented abstinence from substance
 use, or other compulsive/addictive behaviors
Regular, active participation in self-help groups
Internal motivation for cooperation has begun

Lower Risk
            12 - 18 months full cooperation
Stable in recovery or mental health treatment
            Self-motivated in recovery
            Improving quality of life
            Substantially reduced practice risk

Stable in all areas of monitoring while
                 requiring ongoing monitoring
